Based on the concept of “Qu Shui Liu Shang” (drinking water from a winding canal with one wine cup floating on it so as to wash away ominousness),
five buildings representing the architectural characteristics of the fivecontinents have been designed to symbolize that the academicians come from all over
the world for the cultural integration of East and West. It is mainly designed as an academician R&D base for biomedicine, network information, new energy
and new materials as well as high-end equipment manufacturing.
Combined with the concept of architectural design planning “Qu Shui Liu Shang” (drinking water from a winding canal with one wine cup floating on it so as
to wash away ominousness), it will bring together talents from theEast and the West, make integrations of them, and build up new energy to serve the country.
With the integration of the historical significance of the book of Tian Gong Kai Wu (Exploitation of the Works of Nature), the lightingdesign concept of "Riding
the Waves, Setting the Sails, Building Dreams with Light, Keeping Pace with the Times" has been proposed.
In contrast to the past, the project lighting design takes a three-dimensional spatial perspective, fully considers the perception of different perspectives and determines
the internal characteristics of the building for lightingtreatment, constitutes an academician port-style night view from different perspectives, and shapes a modern urban
Combining lighting with architecture, it constructs and sublimates the functional and structural aesthetics of the buildings. It has improved the quality of the nighttime
light environment in and around the buildings, created an atmosphere of prosperity at night, provided a comfortable nighttime living environment, enhanced the security
of nighttime activities of users, and played a positive role in enhancing the popularity of the city and increasing public trust.
The lighting of the Academician Harbor plot is integrated with the operation pattern of the park and categorized into Weekday Mode, Festival Mode and Major Festival
Mode. The lighting intelligent control system provides unified management and reasonable lighting control according to different scenes to achieve intelligent control
as well as energy-saving effect.
Under weekday mode, the lighting is clean and bright, outlining the architectural features. At late night, the lighting is restricted to the building skyline and
pedestrian scale lighting. Moreover, it adopts control system to start in accordance with the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter based on the
architectural styles and business distinctions to provide brightness and color temperature control on the building surface and intelligent programming to form
interactive scenes of lighting.
The Project employs LED lamps and lanterns featuring energy saving, long working life, uniform illumination and excellent color rendering performance,
which effectively saves the power consumption and avoids light pollution.
The intelligent lighting sensing technology incorporates the intelligent lighting control system consisting of functions such as control functions, scene
control and signal processing into wired communication and networking technology applications so as to achieve remote transmission and control.
